Mutable Sound of the Month
Carl Weiting formerly of Neptune has record 603 three minute compositions as part of his Uneasy Music Listening Diary since August ‘25, from which he’s culled two albums of material in the last two months, Tweakling and Flutterbye. For this month’s Mutable Sound of the Month we chose the first track from off Tweakling because it touched our souls with its luxurious and twinkling guitar but the curious listener should by no means stop there. Go. Explore both albums on Bandcamp. They’re full of three minute gems. If you like what you hear, a good next stop would be Anita from the Flutterbye, which Carl dedicated to his mother-in-law who recently passed and to her love of Fats Waller and all the silly/naughty songs she taught all her children and grandchildren. These are entries from the more wordless end of the dreaming spectrum, dreams that linger as not much more than a scent in the skull. Enjoy!
